What is a Catenary Wire? A catenary wire is generally used to transfer electrical power to all the trains. The rectification substations are responsible for powering the huge set of suspension cables. They change the industrial current arriving at the station into a suitable current for the RER (1,500 volts). This entire system allows easy and offsite control without the need for manpower to power a train. Railway catenary wire manufacturers require a lot of experience to design manufacture and install them in the locations.
